How the Internet works

If you read the post underneath this one I mentioned that we where going to make a video about how the Internet works. Well... the video is not finished yet...but I will explain what we did in the video. We started with 6 girls in our class (including me) who have signs on their belly's and backs with a number on it 1-6. This guys in our class called Finn took a photo of us and then went to the computer en unloaded it to Facebook. The 6 parts of our photo then when to the computer to the school website en then to PCCW (because that is our main internet connection in Hong Kong). We had a lot of other chairs standing around in the hall we where in. All connected to the others by a piece of rope. We held on to the rope and went to other internet websites (like Google, ...) all six pieces went different ways, and on the end we all ended up by a chair that said "Facebook". In different orders and times. This is pretty much how the internet works. But then there are way more pieces (in the millions) and it the pieces have to travel way further and quicker.
Then the second part of the video if this other girl in the class called Sarah who was playing a virus. Finn took a picture of her and also uploaded it. But to predict viruses you have Fire Walls. Lewis was playing the Fire Wall (you may know Finn and Lewis from the Media Project we did. The test video we did in class). Sarah walked though all these internet connections like the six girls did too, but now Lewis was standing in her path. Then Lewis killed her. This is how the Firewall works, and how we predict viruses.

|| This it pretty much a simplified version of how the Internet works, this video || is here.
